Welcome
to the Turbo944.com bulletin board.
Turbo944.com is
a FREE community area for 944 Turbo enthusiasts. Currently we only have
the Turbo Board up and running for discussion and socializing, but we
are putting together other resources as part of Turbo944.com. The main
goal of Turbo944.com is to provide the community of 944 Turbo owners
a Tech Info Knowledge base that can be easily searched and updated.
The Tech Info area will include; stock specifications, upgrades and
their specifications, fitment info, troubleshooting, and how-to articles.
If you have any tech specs, how-to's or other areas you would like to
see, please let us know by posting in the discussion area.
Please feel free
to jump in on any conversation, we welcome your inputs!
Usage
The Turbo Board
is the discussion area to enter your 944 Turbo comments, messages, and
questions, or to just prepare and educate yourself while trying to find
that perfect 944 Turbo. Please use the "Edit Profile" link
at the top of the page to tell us a little about yourself and create
a password, save it, then just select "Post A New Message"
or select one of the current messages and reply to it.
Flaming
will not be tolerated.
This does not mean kidding around with other boarders, which is encouraged.
The quick flip of a one liner here and there provides regular boarders
a laugh. Please keep in mind that the boarder who you might feel like
Flaming also shares your interest and enthusiasm in the 944 Turbo -
treat them with the respect with which you would like to be treated.
Also remember that different view points are what discussion and community
is about, not everyone will share your views, and it is okay to agree
to disagree.
Profanity,
fraudulent, harassing, or obscene messages will not be tolerated.
We want boarders to be able to show messages from this Board to anybody.
You should be able to share any of the messages from the Board with
your spouse, daughter, son, mother, or father without being embarrassed
by the content. The morals and ethics of life are quite well understood
by most people. Therefore, imagine that you are having a conversation
with one of these family members on the list when posting messages -
you will enjoy the Board more and so will the rest of the Boarders!
Use clear
subject lines.
A frustrating part of being a Board reader is being excited to read
a messages based on a great subject line, only to be disappointed when
you find that the message has nothing to do with the subject line. Please
make the Subject line appropriate to your posts and replies clear and
concise.
When posting about
televised sporting events, please show courtesy to those that record
and watch the event later by not posting the results in the subject,
and including the word "spoiler" in the subject of messages
that discuss or might give away the outcome of the event.
Use actual
experiences.
Since the information gained from the discussions on this board will
become a part of the technical info database, we ask that you only post
personal experiences with products or procedures mentioned. We don't
want to hear that you heard something worked or didn't work. We want
to know how it worked and any specifics that made it easier or more
difficult.
Persistent
advertising or commercial related messages/links is not appropriate.
While currently not available we will have areas for advertising of
both personal and commercial 944 Turbo related items. For users a one-time
announcement of an item is okay, but please keep the description to
what the item is and where to see the details. For commercial sales
and sponsors we will have an area for you to list your items and advertising
that will not interfere with the discussion area.
If an Administrator
asks to stop or deletes particular subjects, threads, or messages on
the Board - we are not impinging on your "Freedom of Speech"
- so please do not start with this silly excuse as your "right"
to post "anything you feel like" to the Board! We are asking
you to post these elsewhere, perhaps somewhere on one of the thousands
of other Internet forums which are more appropriate for these off-subject
threads. We only ask threads be moved with specific reasons in mind.
If you would like to understand why we have asked for a thread to cease
or have deleted one, simply ask us off the Message Board.
Considering the
real-time nature of this Board, it is impossible for Administrators
to review messages or confirm the validity of information prior to it
being posted. Please remember that Administrators can not actively monitor
(24/7) the contents of and are not responsible for any messages posted.
We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness
of any messages, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.
The messages express the views of the author of the message.
You agree, through
your use of this service, that you will not use this Message Board to
post any material which is knowingly false, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar,
hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening,
invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. You
agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned
by you. Administrators may no be able to review each and every message
that is posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these
messages. Further, we reserve the right to delete any message for any
reason whatsoever.
In summary: PLEASE,
no spam, flaming, or vulgarity, just ENJOY!
This board
is monitored…
1.) It is limited
to 944 Turbo related posts.
2.) Posts which
exceed the bounds of civility will not be allowed.
3.) The moderator
(David Lindsey/944Turbo) will decide on the interpretation of the rules
- with the assistance of deputies (to be announced).
4.) Sometimes people
get a little latitude. Just because a friendly off-topic comment (which
may build the feeling of community) is allowed to stay up, that does
not mean every piece of flame bait has a constitutional right to remain
posted.
Why choose a moderated
format? An unmoderated board allow more freedom of expression, at the
price of increased message traffic, off-topic messages (static), and
flame wars, all of which make it harder and less fun for people to use
the board for its intended purpose.
In the opinion of
many, moderation makes the board more useful, and is a big factor in
building community spirit.
A good moderator
listens to his group, is fair, and builds up the group. A poor moderator
loses participants. We hope to have and be good moderators!
By posting a message
to this Board, you give the implicit permission for the message to be
used intact or paraphrased in other areas within this web site. No other
use of your message is implied without your approval.
The Administrators
reserve and will exercise the right to delete any posted message which,
in their sole discretion, is deemed inappropriate for the Turbo
Board. We are always and forever hopeful that this is not necessary.
